AIRLINE NEWS: Air Transat Pilots Approve Mandate to Strike

What’s the News?

On Tuesday Pilots from Canadian leisure carrier Air Transat approved a mandate to strike if a new collective agreement is not reached. Both parties have until February 7 to sign an agreement, followed by a 21 day cooling off period before a strike or lockout could occur.

Why Does it Matter?

This is worth a post as this is Air Transat’s high season with many flights to Europe and Sun Destinations scheduled to occur in March. If you have a vacation booked with Air Transat in March, it could be worth monitoring how this situation progresses.
